京都市生まれ。東京藝術大学付属音楽高等学校、同大学を経て、パリ国立高等音楽院修士課程を首席修了。2021年、NHK-Eテレ「クラシック音楽館」にて東京フィルと共演、松平頼則／主題と変奏のソリストを務め、注目された。受賞歴は、青山音楽賞新人賞、ロンティボー国際コンクール第5位&最優秀ラヴェル作品演奏賞、ブゾーニ国際コンクールファイナリスト&最優秀現代音楽作品演奏賞など。東京フィル、パリ室内管、ポルト国立管、王立ワロニー管等と共演。近年は、エラールピアノシリーズ、ドビュッシーピアノ作品全曲リサイタル、美術家・大舩真言と作曲家・坂田直樹とのコラボレーション舞台Depth of Light美術×ピアノ×現代音楽(世界初演) 、NHK-FM「リサイタルパッシオ」、サントリーホールサマーフェスティバル、クラシック・キャラバンなどに出演し活動の場を広げている。フランスPassavantmusicからリリースした2枚のCDは「レコード芸術」特選盤に選出。現在は、国内外で演奏活動を行いながら、パリエコールノルマル音楽院、オーベルヴィリエ地方音楽院、大阪教育大学音楽表現コースにて後進の育成にも力を注いでいる。

Japanese Pianist, Fortepianist and Chamber musician Madoka Fukami has been critically acclaimed as “a true musician” (Concertclassic), “astonishing, radiant artist” (Magcentre), and “distinguished specialist of Debussy” (Classicagenda).

Fukami’s passion for French music and Contemporary music has led her to succeed in several international competitions, including the Ferruccio Busoni International Piano Competition (2017) and Long-Thibaud-Crespin Competition (2015), as well as presenting a solo recital of the complete works of Debussy organized by Yamaha Music Japan. Her solo appearances include performances at Théâtre des Champs-Élysées and Salle Gaveau in Paris, Casa da Musica in Porto, and BOZAR and Flagey in Bruxelles. She has also performed with Porto National Philharmonic Orchestra, Royal Chamber Orchestra of Wallonia, and Orchestre de Chambre de Paris. After completing a master’s degree unanimity with distinction at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris, she has been artist in residence at Queen Elisabeth Music Chapel in Belgium under the direction of Maria João Pires. Her past teachers include Michel Béroff and Marian Rybicki, currently studies with Philippe Bianconi at Ecole Normale de Musique de Paris. Along with her passion for French music, Madoka is interested in lesser-known piano works, she presents original programs by composers such as Lully, Bach’s family, Jadin, Boely, Montgelout, Aubert, Samazeuilh, or even composers at nowadays, in particular Hersan, Markeas, Pesson, Leroux, Mantovani, Hersant, Sakata, Takemitsu… In 2020, she created a spectacle ”Depth of Light – contemporary art x piano x contemporary music” – a new form of scenic art that stimulates the imagination and the five senses – with artist Makoto Ofune, and composer Naoki Sakata. Her two CDs “Debussy 12 Etudes / Ravel Miroirs” and “Virtuoso”, were released under the PassavantMusic label. Next season, she will release a new CD of 21st century works, and make her solo debut with EnsembleModern in Germany. Her concerts has broadcasted by France Musique, Radio Classique, RTBF Musiq3, France2, and Schweizer Fernsehen.
